Massive hunt on for assailants in double murder

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, February 14: The Mumbai police today launched a massive manhunt to nab the killers of a woman and her eight-year-old daughter who were found murdered on Friday morning at V P Road residence in south Mumbai.

A senior police officer said, police parties have been desptached to Bihar and West Bengal to prevent the suspects from crossing over the border to Bangladesh.

Though the police have refused to divulge any names as it might hamper further investigations, it is strongly suspected that the killers could be migrant workers from Bangla Desh. Sleuths of the V P Road police station today questioned acquaintances of the Daga family for clues. This is being done as evidence suggests that the killers were known to the family.
