Shiv Sena in three minds over Seshan

MUMBAI: Shiv Sena is considering to field former Chief Election Commissioner T N Seshan from one of the three constituencies it has under an alliance pact with the BJP in Maharashtra. The three constituencies are Washim, which was won by Sena in 1996 elections, and Ahmednagar and Khed, both never conquered by the party in the past. ``Seshan will be fielded (from a constituency) to win,'' Maharashtra Chief Minister Manohar Joshi said.

AIADMK list

CHENNAI: AIADMK has reached a seat-sharing accord with all its electoral allies in Tamil Nadu, its General Secretary Jayalalitha today said and denied any discontent among the poll partners. Jayalalitha, who visited the office of the Tamizhaga Rajiv Congress led by Vazhappadi K Ramamurthy, an ally, said here that the list of constituencies to be contested by each party in the Front would be released on Jan 19.

Kalmadi's drive

PUNE: Even while the Congress struggles to announce its candidate for the prestigious Pune Lok Sabha constituency, former Railway Minister Suresh Kalmadi, who quit the party recently, is all set to kick off his campaign tomorrow from the historic Shanwarwada here.
