PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
CALCUTTA, Nov 17: A city court today rejected the bail application of Vinay Singh, one of the seven accused in the 1995 Purulia arms-drop case, while adjourning the trial for the fifth time, pending final order of the Calcutta High Court on their petitions. The Calcutta High Court has reserved its judgement on the petitions filed by the five Latvians, Vinay Singh, as also the written submissions of one of the key-accused of the arms dropping case, Peter Bleach, praying for quashing of the charges framed against them by the city civil and sessions court where the trial process was scheduled to begin. A K Bisi, judge of the city court, today fixed December 1 as the next date of hearing.
