Four policemen suspended, tension in Kuchaman JAIPUR: The inquiry into the alleged custodial death of a youth in Kurhaman city in Naguar distirct on Tuesday has been handed over to the Crime Investigation Department (CID) and four policemen, named in the first information report (FIR) lodged by the brother of the deceased, have been put under suspension, police said here on Wednesday. The deputy inspector genereal (Law and Order) Namo Narain Meena said the situation in the town where police burst tear gas shells and used lathis to disperse the people protesting the alleged custodial death was now under control. One killed, 40 hurt in Kashmir blast SRINAGAR: One militant was killed and 40 people were injured when an explosive device went off at Pulwama bus stand in south Kashmir on Wednesday. Two civilians injured in Pak firing JAMMU: Two civilians were injured in unprovoked firing by Pakistani rangers on two border outposts (BOPS) in Ranbir Singh Pura sub-sector of Jammu frontier, Border Security Force sources said on Wednesday. The Pak rangers had resorted to ``unprovoked and indiscriminate'' firing on two BOPS of S H Way and Suchetgarh at R S Pura sub-sector around 11.50 pm on Tuesday, sources said. In retaliation the BSF troops fired at Pakistani Rangers and the exchange of fire continued for about two hours. No loss of life or damage to property was reported from Indian side. Miscreants raid police outpost CALCUTTA: A gang of about six unidentified miscreants looted two rifles and forty rounds of ammunition from the Prasadpur police outpost under Sonarpur Police Station in south 24-Parganas district, on Wednesday. Deputy inspector general (Planning and Welfare) S N Pal said here that the miscreants raided the police outpost in the morning, snatched the arms and ammunition and fled towards Bhangor by taxi..
