CHENNAI, June 11: The Tamil Nadu Government has given clearance to the four-member Crime Branch (CB) CID team led by D Manoharan to visit Indonesia, Australia and Singapore to probe the controversial coal import deal.

Papers for overseas probe are pending with the Union External Affairs Ministry. ``We are hopeful of getting the clearance soon and the team would leave Chennai thereafter,'' S Kumarasamy, Additional DGP (Crime), told The Indian Express on Tuesday.
