Kambli delights in centenary tie

MAY 30: Vinod Kambli hit a hurricane 100 off 49 balls to spur Harris Centenary XI to a seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) President's XI in the day-night cricket match to celebrate the centenary of the Inter-Schools Harris Shield cricket tournament. At the Wankhede Stadium, tonight, Kambli entertained the large crowd, clouting six sixes and seven boundaries to help his side overall MSSA President's XI's 220 for nine wickets in the allotted 45 overs. Centenary XI took just 26.3 overs to win. India skipper Sachin Tendulkar opening the innings for Centenary XI scored a quickfire 47 off 41 balls with three sixes and two fours, ably assisted by Mayur Kadrekar with 28 in a stand of 82.
