Court okay for prodigy's results
UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
NEW DELHI, May 30: Clearing the way for a nine-year-old Indian boy to possibly become the youngest matriculate in the world, Delhi High Court today directed the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) to declare Tathagat Avtar Tulsi's results alongwith the class ten board exam results next week. A division bench consisting of acting Chief Justice Mahinder Narain and Justice S K Mahajan today perused the ``unmoderated'' results of Tathagat Avtar Tulsi, submitted by the CBSE in sealed covers, and disposed its plea against the declaration of his result. The court's final order brings to an end a six-month-long battle fought by the class seven boy against the CBSE, which initially refused him permission to take the class ten board exams. The youngest record holder for matriculation is Britain's Lord Kelvin, who cleared it at the age of 10 years and four months in 1834. Copyright © 1997 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
