3e, a division of Srini Raju’s iLabs, will soon be spun off
into a new company to enter into tie-ups with partners to
market its recently launched business operating software called
- 3e, for small and medium industries.
3e is a software product which addresses
normal functions of a business - accounts, purchase, sales,
inventory management, payroll, assets and customer service.
It also interfaces with external enterprises, remote branches,
mobile devices and other applications.
In order to bring in new partners, a new company would be
floated under the ‘i’ (iLabs) brandname during the next week
to gain a foothold in the overseas markets and later bring
strategic investors into the company, 3e chief executive Suresh
Ramani told The Financial Express on the sidelines
of the three-day Gitex expo and conference that got under
way in Hyderabad on Monday.
“We are presently holding talks with partners to tap the markets
of Southeast Asia, Middle East, Australia/New Zealand, West
Africa and UK to sell our recently launched business software,”
Ramani said.
The partners would be brought in on a revenue-sharing basis
or through royalty payment, he said. ‘‘Initially we are focusing
on areas where there are a lot of small/medium companies to
target,’’ he said. As a mass product, 3e operates in the same
space as accounting and enterprise solutions such as QuickBooks,
Sage, Tally and Great Plain Dynamics, Ramani added.
