WTO advisory council meet today
  The advisory council on international trade on WTO matters will meet here on Tuesday against the backdrop of the Doha declaration and the tasks ahead for New Delhi and other developing countries at the new negotiations in Geneva under the WTO aegis.
Delhi exporters criticise VAT
  The introduction of the value added tax system announced by the Centre will adversely affect the country’s exports, resulting in blockage of funds and eroding the profit margin of exporters, SP Agarwal, president of Delhi Exporters Association, has said.
   
Govt allows 10 more AEZs, expects Rs 1,700 crore turnover in 5 years
  The Centre has so far sanctioned 10 agro export zones which are being set up in various states with an estimated investment of more than Rs 200 crore to generate a total export turnover of Rs 1,700 crore in the next five years.
Central foodgrain policy soon: Shanta
  The government would come out with a new foodgrain policy very soon, and the expert committee set up to work out the details was expected to submit its report within a month, Union food minister Shanta Kumar said here on Monday.
