One-fourth of India’s insurable population has life cover: LIC
  The latest statistics released by the public sector monolith Life Insurance Corporation indicate that over 25 per cent of the insurable population in the country has some sort of life and/or pension cover.
Bengal asks PSBs to hike CD ratio by March 31
  The West Bengal government is giving public sector commercial banks time up to March 31 to improve their current credit-deposit ratio from 41 per cent to the national average of 56 per cent, according to finance minister Asim Dasgupta.
