Zensar zooms in on Europe for growth

Our Correspondent in Pune

Zensar Technologies Limited’s Europe arm has successfully completed a security audit on behalf of Microsoft, Portugal, for AIP, one of its customers. The intrusion detection assignment was completed for a portal (iwaytrade.com) launched to promote B2B commerce between small and medium enterprises in Portugal. Microsoft has given Zensar the highest ratings in its feedback form, states a note issued by the company.

This assignment forms one of several recent initiatives Zensar has taken to grow its business in the European market.

The company has set a goal of having a 50:30:20 mix of businesses from the US, Europe and Asia markets by 2002 and says it is on track to achieve this goal. The company is already working with P&O Nedlloyd, Honeywell, Transco and ICL in UK and is stepping up business in rest of the European market.

Sunil Kunte, Zensar’s COO and head of Europe operations said, “We already have 25 per cent of our revenue coming from Europe and we have charted ambitious growth plans”. The East European markets of Romania and Hungary have been offering possibilities in ERP applications.
