Load shedding hits western region on MPSEB overdrawal
  The western region, comprising Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Goa, has been forced to carry out a daily load shedding of a record 3,500 mw mainly because of the overdrawal of 600 mw by the loss-making MPSEB.
TVS Motor posts 10% rise in December sales
  TVS Motor Company Ltd on Tuesdady reported a 10 per cent rise in its overall sales in December as compared to the same period in 2000 as its motorcycles sales fared well, but sales of its mopeds and TVS Scooty declined.
