Pune-based Accord Ventures Pvt Ltd, an application service provider (ASP) solution provider, is in talks with two category ‘A’ Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for using the data centre facilities of the ISPs.

Accord is willing to part with a 10 per cent of its equity base to the ISP in return for sharing the data centre facilities.

“We chose to use the data centre facilities of an ISP rather than building one of our own. For this, we are open to dilute equity close to 10 per cent and might also raise some money in return,” Accord Ventures Pvt Ltd managing director Subrata Sen said.

The company is also in talks with a Rs 600 crore city-based corporate house for raising close to Rs 3 crore to be used in the next calender year. This will also involve an equity sale of 10 per cent by Accord.

Accord has recently launched its first ASP product called ads4globe.net which is a digital marketing tool and an online platform enabling e-commerce transactions.

Further in the next 9 months, the company intends to launch its ASP solutions for inventory management, sales force automation, mailing services, conferencing and project management.

Accord Ventures holds about 48 per cent stake in Accord Solutions Pvt Ltd that owns the portal Indiaengineering.com. The rest (52) per cent is held by the Kalyani group.

Ads4globe.net version 1.0 has been productised and is ready for deployment, according to Mr Sen. It will be sold in the ASP and license format. Apart from the above, the company has also been developing customized applications for businesses in India and abroad.
The ASP will be launched officially in the 1st week of January 2002.
