Eurovigil’s latest security solutions alert even the police

The latest on the list of the security devices of the company is the remote surveillance system, which enables one to monitor a premise from a different place all together. “Apart from residential uses, this device is useful for factories, jewellers, etc,” says Suresh Menon, deputy general manager, security systems division, Eureka Forbes Ltd. The unique property of the device, explains Mr Menon, is that it can send information on any kind of movement via the Internet or a local area network to a specified email ID. This device, through a digital interphase, can be connected to Eurovigil’s Central Monitoring Stations (CMS), which would send out an alarm that alerts the personnel at the 24-hour CMS centre, which would in turn swing into action to alert the police. “The system, which is a combination of sophisticated high-tech cameras, monitors and advanced closed TV circuit equipment, is priced at around Rs 3 lakh, and can go upwards depending on the customised needs,” adds Mr Menon.

The addressable fire detection system, another state-of-the art device, helps in pinpointing the source of fire in multi-storeyed buildings or hotel premises. The device is priced from Rs 1 lakh onwards.

According to Mr Menon, the advantage of getting a security solution from Eurovigil is that the customer automatically becomes a member of CMS for one year with a renewal fee of Rs 1,800. The company has at present 24-hour CMS in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
