LeasePlan Fleet plans to expand, break-even by ’02

New Delhi, Dec 10: Leaseplan Fleet Management India is planning an expansion of its fleet strength in India and is targeting a break-even in its operations by the end of the year 2002.

The company is also also exploring the viability of bringing its other business arms like insurance and consumer rentals into India.

Speaking to press persons at the inaugural function of its new office at Gurgaon in Haryana ABN Amro Lease Holding NV, the chairman of the board of managing directors and chief executive officers (CEO) Hugo Levecke said, "India is a very important market for us and we will look at extending all our services to India. Currently we will focus on increasing our fleet in India and the lease finance business."
