Three EPZs to come up in WB for fruit export

West Bengal, Dec 9: In order to boost agro-based industries in the state, West Bengal government is planning to create three export promotion zones (EPZ) for fruit export in north Bengal and upgrade a flower market in Kolkata to international standards. They would be developed at Siliguri for pineapple and at Malda and Murshidabad for mango and lichi, Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Sailen Sarkar said. Land had already been acquired in Malda for the purpose while the process was on in the other two towns, he added.
