RIL reduces PVC, PET prices for Dec

Mumbai, Dec 3: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has reduced the prices of its polyvinyl chloride by Rs 4 to Rs 30.05 per kg and polyethelene terapthalate by Rs 3 to Rs 55 per kg for December.

In the polyester segment, RIL increased the price of partially-oriented yarn by fifty paise to Rs 55.70 per kg over last month, but reduced that of polyester staple fibre by Re 1 to Rs. 43.75 per kg, company sources said here on Monday.

In fibre intermediates, prices of purified theraptalete acid and mono-ethelene glycol stood lower at Rs. 27.10 per kg (Rs. 28.60 per kg) and Rs 26.25 per kg (Rs 27.75 per kg) respectively, they said.

Prices of polymers like polyethelene and polypropelene too have decreased from Rs 40 per kg to Rs 38 per kg and Rs. 39 per kg to Rs 36.25 per kg respectively.

However, there was no change in the price of linear alkylbenzene at Rs 53.90 per kg.
