Geometric in JV talks with French firm

Mumbai, Nov 27: Geometric Software Solutions Co Ltd, where Godrej has a 22 per cent stake, has informed the BSE that the company is in negotiations with Dassault Systemes of France to set up a joint venture for supplying services and undertaking development work related to Dassault Systemes’ group products.
The notice adds that "these discussions are at an advanced stage and are expected to be concluded in the near future."

The company was not willing to elaborate on the details at this juncture. The notice however adds, "The relationship if and when established, is expected to have a material impact on the company‘s operations."

Dassault Systemes is a premier global software developer for the computer aided design, manufacturing, engineering and product life management markets (CAD/CAM/ CAE/PDMII) which provides companies with e-business solutions to implement their digital enterprise. The company was founded in 1981.
