ALL to export 500 chassis to Bangladesh

Chennai, Nov 27: Chennai-based Ashok Leyland Ltd (ALL) will supply 500 truck chassis valued at over $6 million (Rs 29 crore) to Bangladesh. The chassis will be supplied in completely knocked down kit (CKD) form for assembly by Pragoti Industries Ltd, a Bangladesh government undertaking under the Ministry of Industries, according to an ALL press release issued here.

The company had earlier supplied 330 truck chassis to Bangladesh and another 50 stag minibus chassis is under execution. A separate contract has been completed this month for supply of 80 double-decker buses to the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation.
