New Delhi, Nov 4: Navision, a Denmark-based enterprise
software company, has launched its operations in India and
is building a channel-partner network of around 100 local
companies to promote and sell its Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Supply Chain
Management (SCM) solutions.
Speaking to The Financial Express,
Navision India managing director Yash Nagpal said that the
company would target small and medium sector companies having
turnover between $5 million to $250 million. Navision would
also sell its products in independent modules to penetrate
the market, he added.
“I see a lot of potential for our accounting module, which
can provide much more than an average software package being
used by most of the small and medium companies. Moreover,
if they use Navision accounting module, they can scale it
up to a complete ERP by adding other modules as and when they
need them,” said Mr Nagpal.
Mr Nagpal claimed that the company had already sold around
40 licences of its products in the last couple of months and
planned to achieve a revenue target of $10 million by December
2002. “The company has set up a Navision Academy at Gurgaon
to train the employees of its channel partners for implementation
of its software products,” said Mr Nagpal.
Navision was created by the merger of Navision Software and
Damgaard, the two companies originally founded in Denmark
in early 1980s and merged in December 2000. The company is
headquartered in Vedbaek, Denmark.
Navision provides enterprise business solutions in all areas
of business functions, including financial management, customer
relationship management, manufacturing, distribution and HR.
