Bidding for HZL, HCI, ITDC before winter session

New Delhi, Oct 30: Government said on Tuesday that it would invite financial bids for privatising Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), ITDC and Hotel Corporation of India (HCI) before the winter session of Parliament beginning on November 19 “We will invite bids for privatising ITDC, HCI and HZL before Parliament commences its winter session”, disinvestment secretary Pradip Baijal said here. Cabinet Committee on Disinvestment (CCD) had earlier this month finalised share holders’ and share purchase agreements for eight hotels of ITDC, HCI along with HZL. In the case of HZL, government will offload 26 per cent stake to a strategic partner thereby reducing its stake to 49
per cent.
