Tata Engg to go for second round of ESS

Pune, Oct 17: Tata Engineering (Telco) is going in for a second
round of trimming its workforce by offering its early separation scheme (ESS).

The company has put up notices at its Pune plant
inviting employees of 45 years and above to opt for the early separation scheme.

The early separation scheme will be open till November 9, 2001.
Earlier this year, Tata Engineering had reduced workforce by 1,350 during the earlier round of early separation scheme.

Employee strength is around 12,000 and the company would be expecting a similar response to this round of early separation scheme.
