Natco pharma enters market with 34 formulations

Our Corporate Bureau

Hyderabad, Oct 17: Natco Pharma Ltd, a Hyderabad-based integrated pharmaceutical and bulk chemicals manufacturer, has entered into the formulations segment by recently introducing 34 products in the state. According to company chairman and managing director VC Nannapaneni, the branded formulations include anti-bacterial, gastro-intestinal, neuro-psychiatry and nutrition segments. These products found favourable response from customers and the medical fraternity, he claimed.

Encouraged by the response, the company has just launched the products in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Goa, which are expected to boost the bottomline of the company, the chairman felt.

The company continues to place emphasis on custom made synthesised bulk chemical actives and specialty intermediates for supplies to multinational companies, for which it is tying up long-term arrangements, Mr Nannapaneni said.

Meanwhile, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 41 lakh for the half-year ended September 30, on a turnover of Rs 35.44 crore. For the same period during the last fiscal, the company incurred a loss of Rs 3.13 crore on a turnover of Rs 34 crore.
