Italian
company plans expansion in India
New Delhi, Oct 8: Italian apparel company Osia Italia
is planning to increase its presence in Indian ready-made
garments market, opening 38 shops across the country during
the next two years which will help triple its turnover.
“We will open 38 shops, including exclusive ones across the
country. Of these, 25 will come up this fiscal itself,” managing
director of Osia Italia Mr Naren Jain said. The company, which
already has 13 retail stores in India, plans to open boutiques
in Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar and Indore, in the next three months,
he said.
He said growth of Indian ready-made garment sector justifies
company’s expansion plan that envisages three-fold growth
in its sales to Rs 9-10 crore this fiscal.
