CII Intl team to visit Pakistan

New Delhi, Aug 28: CII International, the global arm of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) which was formally launched on Monday, will begin its overseas programmes with a business mission to Pakistan.

CII International’s first overseas mission, headed by Maruti Udyog managing director Jagdish Khattar, will meet trade and industry leaders and high level Pakistani government officials during the four-day visit to Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore, CII International’s head Piyush Bahl told The Financial Express.

The delegation is scheduled to meet important industry association including Fed of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said. Pakistan’s commerce secretary has also sought CII assistance to conduct a training programme on association management for its apex chamber, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industries, Mr Bahl added.
