IBM India plans to set up its third total storage solution centre (TSSC) in Delhi with a storage partner. Briefing media in Mumbai, IBM also announced new enterprise storage products and enhancements including fibre channel-based connection (Ficon) support for IBM’s TotalStorage Enterprise Storage Server (code-named Shark) and two models of IBM’s TotalStorage Virtual Tape Server (VTS) that incorporate IBM’s patented copper chip technology.

IBM’s third TSSC will be operational by year end. The centre will focus on storage area networks and display IBM’s interoperability.
