Boda to head insurance brokers’ association

Mumbai, Aug 24: INSURANCE Brokers Association of India has been formed under the presidentship of Bharat J Boda with a view to assist in orderly development of insurance business both life as well as general insurance business as envisaged and recommended by RN Malhotra Committee in their report in connection with liberalisation and privatisation of insurance business in India.

To keep pace with insurance liberalisation, leading insurance intermediaries have got together and formed the above association which has been registered as a company under the Companies Act. The first board of directors of the company consists of Mr Fali Poncha (vice president) Mr HP Parekh, Mr Vinod Sahgal, Mr Jugal Boda, Mr FK Daruwalla and Mr Manju Sawhney Mahindra.
