Pfizer MD to head Parke Davis as firms move towards merger
  Parke-Davis India and Pfizer Ltd moved a step closer towards operationally integrating and eventually merging both companies, with the induction of Hocine Sidi Said as the managing director of PDI. Mr Said is also the MD of Pfizer Ltd, an affiliate of American multinational Pfizer Inc.
DCA to monitor accounting standards for dotcom firms
  Union minister for law, justice and company affairs Arun Jaitley has stated that the Department of Company Affairs will monitor the accounting standards for dotcom companies as laid down by the Institute of Chartered Accountants for India.
Air-India unions to oppose job cuts after sale
  Unions of money-losing Air India, which is over staffed compared with its global peers, said on Tuesday they support the long-haul state carrier’s partial privatisation but will fiercely oppose job cuts.
Group of ministers clears draft Electricity Bill
  The group of ministers on power cleared the draft Electricity Bill, 2001 at a meeting held on Tuesday. The final draft would be shortly placed before the Cabinet and is expected to be introduced during the current monsoon session of the Parliament.
