Accord unveiled in Kerala

Kochi, Aug 8: Honda Siel Cars India Limited (HSCI), officially launched ‘Honda Accord’, a recent version of the Accord series, introduced by Honda Motor Company in various parts of the world early this year, in Kerala on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr AM Gupta, general manager, sales and marketing, HSCI, said Accord was well received across the country and 332 units had already been sold till last month.

Pointing out that Kerala was a key market for Honda Siel Cars, he said it had recorded a 33 per cent growth in the sales of ‘Honda City’ car introduced in the country in 1997, in the new financial year as compared with the previous year.

“The launch of Accord marks Honda’s entry into the top end of the Indian luxury car segment.
