Indiaproperties to set up real estate institutes

Our Corporate Bureau

Mumbai, July 17: Indiaproperties, a real estate service company, is setting up real estate institutes in India with the objective of empowering brokers to add value to their businesses. The first institute will come up at Pune next month followed by similar institutes in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Chennai.

Real estate principles, marketing skills, need for ethical dealings, property management knowledge, personality development, knowledge pertaining to property finance and legal issues pertaining to real estate and awareness of the benefits of new technologies would be part of the course. The course would also include three practical excursions.

Indiaproperties managing director Naresh Malkani said that the whole initiative would be funded by his company.

He said that Indiaproperties is in talks with some real estate associations like the Borivali Area Association of Brokers, Navi Mumbai Area Association of Brokers, Delhi Realtors Association, Bangalore Realtors Association of India and Chennai Real Estate Association for alliances.

He said an average broker today needs to provide more value to his existing customers to ensure repeat business.

Brokers will also learn how to leverage their existing relationships by increasing their service offerings.

The course would also educate the average broker about best practices and industry standards in his day-to-day work life. “This initiative will also promote real estate broking as a career option in the minds of today’s youth by enabling professionalism and credibility in the profession,” added Mr Malkani.
