Mphasis BFL consolidated profits up

Bangalore, July 15: The consolidated profits before tax of MphasiS BFL has increased to Rs 56.6 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2001 as compared to a loss of Rs 51 million during the same quarter in the previous year. The company reported consolidated revenues of Rs 735 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2001, which represents an increase of Rs 86 million over the quarter ended June 30, 2000, a company release said. The solutions and services business grew by Rs 50 million and the IT enabled services by Rs 36 million. Employee strength in software solutions and services was 1,244 as on June 30, 2001 as against 1,399 on June 30 last year.
Employees in Call Centre operations were 245 as against 91. The company has added six new customers, including alarge US-based consulting firm, one of the largest credit card processors in the US, a large portal, an Indian insurance company and a large bank in Singapore.
