investments at Rs 289 crore last week

Mumbai, July 15: Foreign institutional investors’ (FIIs)
crossed the Rs 12,000-mark. FII inflows as on July 12, 2001
was Rs 12,090-crore.
FIIs investments for the week ending July 12, 2001 were higher
at Rs 288.6 crore against inflows of Rs 119 crore for the
week ending July 5, 2001.
FIIs made investments of Rs 261.2 crore in equity during the
week against inflows of Rs 92.3 crore in equity for the week
ended July 5, 2001.
Their inflows in debt were Rs 27.4 crore against inflows of
Rs 26.7 crore last week.
Meanwhile mutual funds (MFs) have pumped in Rs 300.87 crore
for the week ended July 12, 2001.
They were sellers in equity with outflows of Rs 82.08 crore
and buyers in debt with inflows of Rs 382.95 crore.
For the month as on July 12, 2001, mutual funds made inflows
of Rs 440.73 crore.
They were buyers in debt and made investments of Rs 691.34
crore and sellers in equities with outflows of Rs 250.61 crore.
For the year till July 12, 2001, MFs pumped in Rs 1,555.57
crore with inflows of Rs 5,184.21 crore in debt and outflows
of Rs 3628.64 crore in equities.
