Irani stresses need to achieve goals

Jamshedpur, July 15: Tata Steel Managing Director Dr J J Irani has stressed the need for responsible trade unionism, saying that the goal of the union and the management should be to keep on achieving targets. Appreciating Tata Workers’ Union’s responsible role in bringing up the company to this position, he said the Union should not consider management as rival, but the two should trust each other for the sake of company’s growth.

Speaking at a function organised by the TWU here last evening to felicitate him, Dr Irani, who is retiring on July 22, shared his three decades of experience with the Union.

Touching upon the changing scenario in the world market, Dr Irani said “Change is a foundation for success and also necessary for the development of a company.”
