to cause a domino effect, the Kenyan parliament has passed a bill allowing
imports and manufacture of cheaper drugs, including anti-AIDS medicines,
opening up a huge window of opportunity for Indian pharmaceutical companies

Even as the $2 billion Dabhol Power Project of the US energy major
Enron hangs in fire, another US-based power firm, CMS Energy, has threatened
to pull out of the $1.4 billion-1,600-MW Ennore power plant project, citing
lack of “cooperation and support”.

revision in the copper pricing mechanism for CC rods and cathodes effective

Corporate
scorecard: CI net up 16%
The Transport Corporation of India has recorded a turnover of Rs 499 crore
in 2000-01 as against Rs 436 crore in 1999-2000. The net profit of the
company has grown by 16 per cent (Rs 7.55 crore in 2000-2001 against Rs
6.51 crore in 1999-2000. The operating profits stood at Rs 27.10 crore
has also shown a 13 per cent over the last year figure of Rs 24.03 crore.
