IPFonline ties up with Crisil’s Credibility First

Our Banking Bureau

Mumbai, June 11: IPFonline Ltd, the Chennai-based B2B infomediary has tied up with Credibility First, a division of the Credit Rating and Information Services of India Ltd (Crisil) to provide authentication and business credential verification services.

The service addresses the need of building trust and increasing comfort levels among e-participants in Internet transactions. This would enable a participant to establish the identity and the credibility of potential online/offline trading partners, thus increasing the former’s reach and scope of operations. This is a step towards eliminating risks involved in doing business with unfamiliar partners.

The tie-up will enable users of IPFonline’s B2B e-marketplace www.industrial productsfinder.com to access strategic information on companies across the country and enable them to take informed decisions prior to entering into a transaction.

The will help reduce the enquiry to transaction cycle. Said Crisil’s executive director, Hemant Doshi: “IPF has established itself as a pioneer in the B2B e-marketplaces segment with a strong business model. With the support of Credibility First, IPF will be able to build trust and add value to its current offering.” As a result of the tie-up, the users of www.industrialproductsfinders.com have access to Credibility First’s services like establishing the credentials, offering ratings indicative of the capability of the participant to honour business transactions and providing a business risk demographic score. Verification services will provide a basic verification check to establish the physical and geographic identity of the company and give it a unique credibility number (CN). Evaluation services are aimed at establishing the track record of a business entity on the basis of its business and financial strength.
