Assocham suggests 10-point programme for SSI sector

Our Corporate Bureau

New Delhi, June 6: THE Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham) has mooted a 10-point strategy for ensuring adequate and timely credit inflow to the small scale industries
sector.

The chamber said the need for such a package has been necessitated because the SSIs have not been able to benefit from the settlement scheme for all the non performing assets (NPA) accounts introduced by the Reserve Bank of India due to inherent weakness, demand recession and tough competition.
