Centre plans to include drugs under DPCO

New Delhi, March 28: The government is working on a revised criteria for inclusion of drugs and their formulations under the Drug Price Control Order (DPCO) which will be part of the proposed drug policy.

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers has agreed to adopt the guiding criteria for identification of specific bulk drugs for price regulation formulated by the Drug Price Control Review Committee (DPCRC), which says that the drug's should be of a mass consumption nature.
