Banks, unions divided over recruitment model

Kolkata, March 28: The winding-up of the Banking Services Recruitment Board (BSRB) and the freedom accorded to PSU banks to recruit straight from business schools could negate banks' efforts to reduce staff costs, unions say. If banks opt for direct B-school recruitments. The final decision will be taken by the Indian Banks' Association on March 30 - the wage bill could even treble, depending on the number of direct recruitments made.
