Mumbai, March 28 : The Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BV Patel Pharmaceutical Education and Research and Development Centre (PERD), Ahmedabad on March 24, 2001.The MoU enables IDMA members, particularly the SMEs to develop collaborative relationship for R&D with PERD Centre, at substantial discounts for SSI units.
PERD Centre undertakes projects for bio-equivalence and toxological studies from individual companies.
In addition, IDMA and PERD Centre will undertake several development projects. These include developing validated methods on spectrophotometer/ calorimeter for pharma products, training programmes on instruments like HPLC, GC, LC-MS and microbiology.
The co-operation will extend to availability of reference standards, dossier preparation for India and for export, WHO-GMP and revised Schedule M compliance and technology sourcing and development.
