ITSpace.com in midst of business strategy rethink?

Priya Srinivasan
Mumbai : The Microland Group's IT specific portal ITSpace.com appears to be in the midst of altering its business strategies with a view to generating revenues. Sources say that the company plans on entering areas like IT enabled services and also serving as a marketing services provider for IT companies, apart from laying additional emphasis on the jobs segment. While it is not entirely clear what the company proposes to do as far as its content business goes, sources indicate that there might be some changes there as well. It remains to be seen whether this change in business strategy will involve an overall streamlining of the business and the scrapping of any of the existing lines of business.

In response to queries on the portal's strategy, the company said in a written statement, "ITSpace in the process of enhancing its business focus to include lateral growth in the areas of related business. At present the company is evaluating various business avenues and will shortly be making an announcement on the new initiatives." The statement further says that the portal plans to provide value added services which will complement some of the existing lines of business and the new initiatives are also likely to "draw synergies from various Microland Group companies".
