Rediff.Com completes acquisition of thinkindia.com
Rediff.com on Thursday announced acquisition of a privately held, US-basedportal `thinkindia.com' for $3 million. "Pursuant to the terms of theagreement, Rediff Holdings Inc, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Rediff.com,paid an aggregate of $3,000,000 to the shareholders of thinkindia.com andthe latter became wholly-owned subsidiary of Rediff Holdings, namedRediff.com Inc. The transaction was accounted for under the purchasemethod," a Rediff.com statement said.Worldwide wireless Communications Inc enters Indian ISP market
World Wide Wireless Communications, Inc (WLGS) a California-based companyspecialising in wireless communications, last week announced its entry inIndian market to provide high speed Internet services using wireless asaccess medium. The company has formed a joint venture - Worldwide Wireless(India) Ltd with Mr Neelam Oswal, an Indian industrialist. Mr AK Chaudhri,formerly of MTNL, heads the Indian operations.
