CricketNext to organise memorabilia auction

Mumbai : CricketNext.com, the cricket portal plans on bringing the largest ever auction of the legendary Sir Donald Bradman's personally signed memorabilia to India. This memorabilia will be on display at the Oberoi Towers (Mumbai) lobby from the February 22 to March 1, 2001 and the auction will take place on March 1, 2001 here. CricketNext.com has tied up with Hughes & Ludgrove, an auction house incorporated by Kim Hughes, ex-Australian Cricket Captain and Michael Ludgrove who was Christie's for over 20 years and now is a consultant with them in Australia. For the next three years, CricketNext.com and Hughes & Ludgrove will organise sports memorabilia auctions in India at least once a year.

Baazee.com, a subsidiary of New York-based Baazee.com Inc the online consumer-facing auctions Website that provides Indian Internet users with a platform to participate in e-commerce will present the inaugural auction. The other partners in presenting this event are The Indian Express, Oberoi Hotels and Sony Entertainment Television.
