Java Loggers, Java Entech merge with Java Softech
Java Softech Pvt Ltd on Tuesday announced the merger of its subsidiary companies Java Loggers Infosolutions Ltd, Hyderabad and Java Entech Ltd, Pune, in order to consolidate its holdings and boost its presence in the IT industry. ``The aim of the merger is to work together on the E-business solutions, web-based applications, application software development, system software development and high-end technologies," Mr G V Ramana Murthy, managing director of Java Softech said in a statement in New Delhi.Law ministry clears DTH guidelines
The guidelines for operating DTH television service have finally been approved by the law ministry. According to government officials, the ministry has sent the DTH guidelines back to the I&B ministry after approving the same.
Hughes Sotware teams up with Sun Microsystems
Hughes Software Systems (HSS) on Tuesday announced a tie-up with Sun Microsystems Inc to integrate HSS' mobile data protocol software solutions and communication protocol stacks with Sun's high availability Chorusos operating system. HSS intends to Port SS7, GPRs and UMTs communication protocols to create a value-added, application ready platform for customers. HSS communications protocols would complement the Sun Chorusos in building ready-to-use TELCO/networking applications.

Zee CEO bags IT Woman of the Year award
Uma Ganesh, President & CEO of Zee Interactive Learning Systems, has been conferred the IT Woman Award of the Year. Union Minister of Law, Justice, Company Affairs and Shipping, Mr Arun Jaitley bestowed the award on her. The award is in recognition of Ms Ganesh's contribution in spreading IT awareness across the country.
