New Delhi: Addressing the emerging market of data security solutions, Arachno Solutions, a wholly-owned Indian subsidiary of the US-based ASAP Solution, has developed a electronic wallet which allows users to store and protect passwords, addresses, credit card numbers and any other confidential information while using Internet. Talking to The Financial Express, Mr Atulya Nath, chief executive officer of Arachno Solutions said that the solution is based on encryption technology and ensures that you can safely access your information from any computer, anywhere in the world. Mr Nath claimed that Arachno is the first Indian company to introduce such a solution in India. He said the product which is currently code named as Kwallet, is ready and will be launched in the market with in next two weeks. The solution will be sold to ASPs, ISPs and data centre to offer the value added services to their subscribers, he added. Explaining the applications of the solutions, Mr Nath said, "When you're shopping at a online store that requires you to sign in, KWallet remembers the information you enter on the site and saves it. The next time you visit that store, KWallet automatically fills in your username and password. Kwallet also automatically completes the online order forms for you from the stored date by just a single click." This information can be used to track purchases and any other query one needs about an order, he said adding that the tracking can be as comprehensive as desired to include such details as name of the store from which you made the purchase, the credit card you used, and the shipping address, etc. Arachno Solutions was founded in India in August 1999 by ASAP Solution with an objective to develop the offshore software development base. The company also had a motive to be listed in stock exchanges in India so that it can offer ESOPs to attract technical talent, said Mr Nath. Mr Nath said that the company is planning an IPO in second quarter of 2001 for its ambitious plans. "We need funds to realise our global vision and it can be achieved through inorganic growth as developing infrastructure will take a very long time," he said. According to Mr Nath, the ASAP group is working to develop competence in three technology areas: M-commerce, Remote database administration, offshore quality and testing services ande-commerce applications.
