P&G launches Tide in 30gm sachets priced at Rs 3

Mumbai: Procter & Gamble Home Products has launched Tide detergent in sachets of 30 gram priced at Rs 3.

The move is directed at enabling the consumer to experience the product and to give more product per sachet for better performance, the company says in a press release.

Tide was first launched in India in May 2000. The product is available at outlets across the country and is priced at Rs 30 for 200 gm pack, Rs 68 for 500 gm pack and Rs 120 for one kg pack sizes.

According to P&G Public Affairs senior manager Mr Anthony Rose: "The launch of Tide in sachets, gives consumers, the superior cleaning benefits of Tide in yet another size and pack. The pricing of Rs 3 and the quantity per sachet is in keeping with providing the consumers a wider choice for their cleaning requirements."

P&G Home Products' has in its portfolio, other leading brands such as Ariel Power Compact, Gain Super Soaker, Pantene and New Head & Shoulders and Pringles, in India.

Television icon Mr Shekhar Suman, who is said to have a high recall among housewives, was roped in by the company to promote Tide. The company also launched, for the first time, a live screening of a door-to-door challenge under Tide with Mr Suman.
