Rediff launches e-mail services in 11 languages
Internet company Rediff.com India Ltd on Monday announced its e-mail service in 11 Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali and Malyalam. Rediff.com is one of the first Indian portals to offer this service to its e-mail users, enabling a large number of non-English speaking Indians to log on to the Internet, a company release said. Rediff mail facility will now be available in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujrati, Bengali, Punjabi, Assamese and Oriya, it said.Sify nominated for best ISP award

Etec ventures invests $3 million in Mistral Software
The Mauritius-based Etec Ventures LLC on Monday invested around US $3 million in Bangalore-based Mistral Software Pvt Ltd to acquire a 20-25 per cent stake in the latter. ``Mistral is the first investment and we expect to close two more deals within the next three months'', Mr Sanjaya Kulkarni, managing director of Indian direct equity advisors, the advisor to Etec ventures, said in a release.

Anil Baijal new IBF president
Mr Anil Baijal, CEO, Prasar Bharati, has been elected as the president of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF). The IBF Board of Directors took the decision at a board meeting held in New Delhi on Monday. Mr Baijal is the third president of the IBF, after Mr R R Shah and Mr Rathikant Basu.
