Mumbai, Feb 13: The State Bank of India (SBI) has reshuffled its top brass after the promotion of Y Radhakrishnan as the managing director of the bank from deputy managing director (DMD) and corporate development officer at the bank's corporate office.Mr AK Purwar has been deputed as managing director for State Bank of Patiala for a period of three years. Prior to this he was deputy managing director and chief credit officer at corporate centre.
Mr R Sundararaman has been appointed the bank's DMD and chief credit officer. Prior to this, he was managing director at SBI European Bank Plc in London. Mr AK Batra has moved from the post of managing director of the State Bank of Patiala as the new DMD and corporate development officer. Mr PK Sarkar, DMD and chief financial officer of the the bank has been shifted to the post of DMD and group executive for international banking group.Other appointments include that of Mr R Asthana as DMD and chief financial officer.
Mr Asthana was heading the accounts and compliance department at the corporate centre in Mumbai. On Monday, Y Radhakrishnan was appointed as managing director of SBI with immediate effect.
