MR MVS Chalapathi Rao has been appointed as the managing director of National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (Nabard), effective from February 9, 2001. Prior to this, Mr Rao was holding the post of executive director of Nabard since June 30, 1997.RV Verma is NHB ED
Mr RV Verma has taken charge as the executive director (ED) of National Housing Bank (NHB), with effect from January 25, 2001. Prior to this, Mr Verma was the general manager in NHB.
Dena Bank waives fees
Dena bank has taken a decision to waive commission charges for the demand drafts and pay orders issued, for donations given to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund or the charitable organisations, which are authorised to accept donations under the Income Tax Act, 80G. This facility is given as a mark of solidarity for the quake - affected.
TAIB Bank net up by 10%
TAIB Bank has reported a 10 per cent increase in its net profit of $15.5 million in 2000. This net-profit is the highest in a financial year so far, despite the difficult times in most capital markets around the world.
