The two organisations will formally enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) next week, a company release said.The projects for which the rehabilitation, modernisation and upgradation exercise will be undertaken will be identified by PFC along with state power utilities. Only those projects whose equipment was supplied by Japanese manufacturers and which have been in operation for over 20 years will be covered, it said. The study group and PFC will also ensure the flow of adequate amounts of financial assistance from Japan for the hydro power projects.
