Mumbai : The Mumbai-based i-flex solutions Ltd, the e-solutions provider is in the process of positioning itself as a `global software company' with full-fledged marketing operations overseas and a development facility in India. Mr R Ravishankar, CEO International Operations and Technology, i-flex explained that the company is replicating its success in emerging markets like India, in the advanced markets. The company has subsidiaries in Europe, UK, Spain, US and are setting up another one in Latin America. The company is ramping up their business network and establishing relationships with the local companies who would be their distributors.i-flex is also looking at the US market for product revenues from the i-flex information centre which comprises business intelligence and flex cube investor servicing. For this purpose i-flex had created 2 pilot customers last year and are now fine tuning their product for the US market and delivering the solutions to a larger base of prospective customers. The company will be expanding their core team in the US to work with partners to deliver their solutions. Mr V Senthil Kumar, head-corporate marketing i-flex solutions says "We are converting the services opportunity to product licensing." i-flex is also looking for partners to deliver their business intelligence solutions to other vertical domains.
Traditionally, in the business intelligence space there are multiple tools and multiple vendors. Therefore, everytime one wants to build a business intelligence solution the user would have to integrate everything. The i-flex product offers an integrated framework. All the components are already glued to the product and the end-users have only to only plug it in to the operational data source and start using the solutions.
In the investor service segment, traditionally, the business was centered around outsourcing of business to third parties. With the i-flex solution for investors for instance, fund managers would be able to deliver information about the fund through multiple channels and help them subscribe to the fund.
